Day 174 - 7 down 2 more to go!!!

So I'm almost back!  7 days and a few pounds down and two more days to go.  More than the pounds down are the inches!  I was discouraged by the number on the scale this morning so decided to take my measurements a couple days early just to see my progression and I've lost a total of 5.5 inches.  And I can really see the difference.  I took a before photo and will take an after on Wednesday morning but I doubt I'll be brave enough to post it!  To start my week right I decided to drag myself into the office.  My quiet office where I speak to no one and hardly get up from my cubicle.  Why come into this when I can just stay home?!?  Maybe I just need to meet some new friends but I've been here 7 months now so we'll see!   The skirt I have on is from Forever 21 and is ancient.  I'm talking at least 5 years ago but it's in perfect shape and it's my go-to summer staple to wear to work.  Can't go wrong with a denim skirt it can go with anything!  The top is another oldie and I wouldn't know where it was from but the tag told me Joyce Leslie.  Love that store for cheap quick outfits and they have the best long cami's.   Happy Monday have a great week!  3 working days for me then Fire Island on Thursday for Jen's Bachelorette Weekend!!!  

Day 173 - Weekend Round Up

Pretty low key weekend which is good for someone on a cleanse!  Went out for a little Friday night and that's the only outfit I can blog about.  2 more days on this cleanse then I'm ready for Jen's Bachelorette weekend!!   Hot pink top is from Arden B from a couple years ago but new to me because it still had the tags on it!  

 

Taking the week off! Including eating, alcohol, dates and boys :)

Dating has taken such a toll on my body. I feel like all I've been doing is going out to eat and drinking a lot of alcohol.  And boy do I see the pounds coming on!  I used to drink wine a couple weekends a month.  And now it's more like a couple times a week!  So I decided to try the Isagenix 9 Day Cleanse that I purchased before my wedding (when I was 25 pounds lighter).  Crazy to think that I felt the need to lose more weight when I was that much smaller.  So I'm taking a hiatus from everything else in my life including dating and boys and am going to focus on myself. There will likely be no good outfits to blog about either since I'll probably just work from home and not do much else!  I'll blog again on Wednesday with an update since I'll be able to have a small meal that day and will be in a better mood :)  Here is some information about the cleanse I'm doing and if it works I'll be trying to promote it!   Isagenix 9 Day Deep Cleansing System   It's a 9 day cleanse.  The first 2 days are cleanse days.  Then there are 5 shake days.  And it ends with 2 cleanse days.  On cleanse days you can't eat.  You drink 4 juices throughout the day, a ton of water, and if you get hungry some approved snacks.  I am also taking the Natural Accelerator and IsaFlush pills.  On shake days you replace 2 meals with a shake and eat 1 400-600 calories meal.  Same pills and a ton of water. It's going to be a long week! Wish me luck!

Day 165 - A baby shower

From bridal showers to baby showers!  So many exciting events happening in my world!  I am wearing ankle zip jean leggings (which are pants on me) from Express and no idea where the top is from.  But how cute are my shoes!  They match my top well :)

Day 164 - New hair and surprise date!

So here it is!  My new hair cut that I went out of my comfort zone for!  Can you tell?!?  No one can ever tell when I get my haircut but I think you can see the layers a little bit right?  It feels so much thinner and lighter just in time for summer.  I'm excited about it! CATman is taking me on a surprise date tonight.  I know it's dinner somewhere just not sure where so really don't know how to dress either.  Can't go wrong with a Maxi right?  This is Jessica Simpson!

 

Day 162 - Hanging Around

Hung around all day worked from home and am having company later so needed to dress.  This is an Essential Tee from Victoria's Secret that I have in a variety of colors and patterns.  So you'll be seeing more of these soon :)  And these are my everyday Express jeans that I wear quite often (although I have 3 pairs).  And I'm shoeless because I'm not leaving my house!

Day 161 - Lauren Conrad NWT

Today's outfit includes a NWT LC Lauren Conrad top from Kohl's along with Exact Stretch Cropped Pants by The Limited and really clunky heavy wedges by Fornarina.  Happy Tuesday :)

Day 157-159 - Weekend Round Up

There are a few missing days but that's because I probably didn't leave the house or I ran out to get coffee in my sweats.  There will be a lot of those!  So I am combining Friday, Saturday and Sunday into one blog post for today. Friday was ladies night at a BYOB and we sat outside. What a beautiful night especially when they broke out the heat lamps!  Top is Jessica Simpson...courtesy of my Mom.

Day 154 - Summer Luau Party!

My office is having their summer celebration today and we're supposed to be wearing Luau attire but I didn't have anything!  I almost went to Party City to buy a grass skirt and coconut bra but I'm still sorta the new girl in the office so don't want to be so inappropriate! I did my best to find something festive and tropical so I picked this skirt from Target and top from The Limited.  And I love my 5 inch wedges by BCBG.  

Day 153 - Yellow and Gray Monday

Back to the office after a great weekend!  I'm looking forward to this warm weather because of the variety of clothing to be worn during the summer months.  In the winter your only choices are really pants, whether it's jeans, leggings, dress pants, corduroy or sweats.  Summer you can chose from pants, capris, shorts, skirts, and dresses!  Lots of different ways to create outfits as well.  Today I am wearing Boyfriend Carpis by Old Navy with a top by Max Studio from Loehmann's.  I love these Old Navy capris because they come in multiple colors AND petite!  I ordered both regular and petite and the petite fit so much better length wise because I'm so short.  And while I just went to go link the blog to the item I realized how many MORE colors there are available.  That's dangerous!  The ridiculously blinged out flops are by Guess.  I need to play around with my camera a bit for a good location and lighting to take my photos so I apologize for the yellow lighting!

Day 152 - Softball Sundays

This is my Sunday uniform for the next several weeks so only going to post it once! I don't actually play I sit on the sideline and do stats.  I face planted at my first game running to first base so decided I wasn't cut out to play anymore...only when needed (3 girls need to play every week ).  It gets me up and out on Sundays though!

Day 151 - Continuing where I left off...

I'm back! What a difference a year makes!  I stopped blogging my daily outfits on May 30th 2013 for a number of reasons.  But my goal was to try and get through the year without repeating an outfit so I decided to come back and finish that goal...albeit a year later.  I may not blog every day considering I work from home quite often and sometimes don't get out of bed or out of my jammies.  But I will recap my week and share whatever I've been able to select from my various closets.  I received so much positive feedback about my blog and how so many people loved it...and now miss it.  Plus I'm vain and like to take photos of myself :) So I'm back...and with a whole lotta clothes to share!     When I find a shirt I like I buy it in every color/patten there is. This tank is from Old Navy and I have a few of them! Express jeans and Nomad flops. Jersey Fest here I come!   

 

I sold my car!

Well kind of...I traded it in for a new car!  I was trying to sell my Lexus privately because the few dealerships I went to did not want to give me what I wanted.  And I've been loving the Ford Edge's since they came out so on Saturday, after a nice lunch with Christina and Lauren in Morristown, Christina said she'd take a ride with me to the dealership.  Little did she know she'd spend 4+ hours with me there!  What a trooper!  And without her I probably wouldn't have even bought it so thank you!  If you are in the market for a new car, check out Beyer Ford in Morristown, and ask for Brandon.  He was really good to work with and didn't pressure me at all!  Here's a picture of me with Isabella (my Lexus) from March, 2009...and now my Edge (no name yet...any suggestions?)

As for other news in my life, I've been receiving a lot of messages/texts asking who "HE" is.  For now we'll call him CATman.  And not CAT as in the pet, Caterpillar as in the manufacturer of those big yellow construction machines.  He sells those things!  He's exactly what I need in my life right now and treats me well and we're having fun.  Just follow me on Facebook or Instagram to see what happens...

Quick and easy home decor sales!

Over the weekend I went home décor shopping with my shopping partner in crime Danielle to look for ways to spruce up my living room.  We went to Pier 1, Home Goods and Michaels and boy did I do some damage!  The best part of my Pier 1 shopping trip though was returning some old décor I purchased from there for a store credit and only ending up paying $1.30 for all the new items I purchased.  So if you have anything from Pier 1 that you don’t want any more they’ll take it back!  I returned these mosaic shelves I had from 2010 (so the sticker said).  I was shocked they didn’t even question me.  So my advice, the best way to shop for new items is to return the old ones first!  As for the items that were not store return eligible, I put them on the Morris County New Jersey Buy & Sell Group site on Facebook and they sold in 1 day.  I made an easy $30 buck and I think I even made a new friend during the process!  Here’s what I sold…and when I get all my new stuff up and organized I’ll share my new purchases :)

 

I also sold another dress on eBay that never made it to the blog so my total is now up to $400 in sales for the year.  If any of my readers have any kind of items you want to get rid of just let me know and I'll handle taking all the photos and listing them on eBay and mailing them out.  I only request 30% of the sale price :)

I couldn't sleep last night thinking about the blog post I want to write about dating and dating websites and all the fun I'm having so stay tuned for that to come!

Update on what I've sold and on my LIFE!

As I sit in a hotel room in Providence, Rhode Island, alone with my thoughts and away from my home that I once shared with my husband, it’s time to announce and just come out with it…I’m getting divorced.  I’m sure some of my Facebook followers must know something is up since I recently dropped Becker from my name.  I am not checking in on Foursquare at Spain Rincon and captioning “date night.”  I am not counting down the days till my next Aruba vacation.  And finally just that Eric is no longer a Facebook friend of mine.  It’s very hard to sit here and write about getting divorced but I feel I owe it to myself to let it be known and not beat around the bush anymore.  There was no big event, no infidelity, no hatred in our demise…we just realized that we were not meant for one another.  I was no longer happy in my marriage and am too young to settle for unhappiness.  We both want what’s best for one another and want to see each other happy so we’re moving on...maybe one quicker than the other but that's a whole other story!  We are going to share Niko as best we can since he is my life and I could never give up on him!  Eric has moved out and now I get to redecorate!  I am left with countless holes in my walls as I take down the antique gun that sat over the fireplace, the photo of Eric’s Grandfather and his ship in World War 2 and photos of my dream wedding unfortunately that did not happen with my forever man.  I am removing memories of him, our failed relationship, my past…leaving behind visible scars that will need to be patched, sanded and painted over.  I am looking forward to covering this up with new memories and have such hope for finding my true best friend to share my life with.  So although there are many holes left behind to fill, I couldn’t be more excited to see what life has in store for me!  If you remember back to my first blog post this year…I said this blog was going to have some twists and turns...I even hinted about some lives starting over.  Well...I was talking about my own.  So here is the first curve ball!  I am going to get back to blogging and start focusing on myself so stay tuned for more :)  I also wanted to take the time now to thank my amazing family and friends for their support throughout the past couple months!  I definitely wouldn’t be able to go through this without them and am so fortunate to have such amazing people in my life!

Whew…cue the huge sigh of relief!

For a grand total of $350. Not bad for 2 months!  Most of these items were shoes/Uggs…so the clothing isn't moving like I’d want it to even though I’ve lowered the price many times.  So maybe my items are better suited to be donated!  I’m sure they would sell at a Salvation Army.

I know this blog has inspired people to either stop/reduce shopping and wear what they have in their closet (my 2013 resolution) and even start to purge their own closets (my 2014 resolution)!  I hope by writing this post and I can inspire those who aren't happy whether it be in their marriage, with their careers or even in a friendship to do something about it!  As hard as it was and as much as it hurt I did what was best for me and my life.  Life is too short to be unhappy so do something about it! 

When I look in the mirror I see strength, learned lessons and pride in myself.  Now I just want to be able to look into that same mirror with my best friend and man of my dreams by my side <3

Day 38 - 2014 - Red Pumps

Anyone in the market for red pumps?  I bought these from a co-worker many years ago and never wore them.  I don't think they've ever been worn actually!  I was told the heel was shortened (never even knew you could do that!)  Check them out :)

Day 36 - 2014 - Pink Sweater

Just in time for Valentine's Day!  I am going to be selling my pink/red items.  Size XS pink sweater from Aeropostale.   In other news...I'm getting my Ebates check!  Sign up people!

Day 35 - 2014 - Jessica Simpson BNIB

  BNIB (brand new in box) for shoes is similar to BNWT for clothes.  I purchased these pumps in 2012 at Lord & Taylor and never wore them because I have a similar pair with a pointy toe that I love more than these.  So if anyone is in need of a size 7 1/2 nude patent leather round toe pump let me know!

Day 34 - 2014 - Lacoste Shirt

I love this top and I had it in white too which sold last year.  This is a size 34 which is equivalent to a U.S. size XXS.  So it is incredible hard to get on and is so slim!  I wore it last year on day 53 and today it's up for sale!

Day 33 - 2014 - Ugg Coquette

Love these guys but never wear them. Been on a roll selling Uggs so going to see how these guys do!
