Day 27 - Lazy Sunday

I had no desire to even get dressed today but Eric told me he had someone stopping by so I had to put on something decent.  I have on Yoga pants from Victoria's Secret that are so comfy and actually come in lengths so luckily the 30" inseam fits perfectly!  And I'm wearing an Old Navy fleece I bought Black Friday of 2011 for $5.  Gotta love their performances fleeces lol.  I spent my day organizing my dress closet and changing out all the plastic hangers to the thin velvet ones. It makes a pretty big difference in the space available when you get rid of the thick plastic hangers.  I have a ridiculous count of 110 dresses.  I could wear a different dress every day this summer!  I have a serious problem.  Around 3 o'clock Eric's Mom called to see if we wanted to come over for dinner and we did but I still kept on my sweats and fleece, something I would never do if I were going to someone's house for dinner.  I just didn't feel like wasting an outfit :)

Day 26 - Avra's Bday Dinner and 1st package delivery of the year

Tonight I went to the Sushi Lounge in Totowa with my friend Jessica and Avra to celebrate Avra's 30th birthday!  I've never been to the Totowa location but it was nice and larger than the Morristown one.  It is nice to catch up with friends I've known for years but don't get to see too often!  The top and jeans are Express and necklace is from Joyce Leslie.  Shoes are Jessica Simpson.  I tend to go cheap on my fashion jewelry and purchase them at places like Joyce Leslie or Forever 21. They usually only last a few wears but I also don't wear them that often so tend to spend my money elsewhere :)

This packaged popped up on our doorstep today and Eric almost called me out on it! 

While it was the first package of the year turns out it wasn't for me.  My sister called me earlier in the week to see if I had an Express credit card (duh she should have known that already) because when you have an Express Next A-List level you get free shipping.  AND I had $45 in rewards I was very tempted to use but she ended up using them instead so thanks for helping with my temptation Laur!!

Day 25 - Juicy Zip Up #3

I worked at home on Friday and went to an early dinner so just threw on jeans, Uggs and a Juicy Couture zip up.  Juicy zip ups are my go to outfits when there is nothing special planned!  Not much else to say about the day! 

Day 24 - NYC

Today I braved the cold and had to head in to New York to work for the day.  I usually take the train in but I really didn't want to stand in the cold while waiting for the train this morning.  And now there is someone on my team that lives in the town over from me so I said I'd drive us in!  The trains were running 15 minutes late today anyway so I'm glad we drove.  It took about an hour both ways so it saved a lot of time since the trains are almost 80 minutes plus count the time you have to wait to catch the train both ways.  It was definitely more expensive when you count the toll and $32 parking and the .56 cents my company pays per mile for my car (80 miles round trip) it adds up quick whereas the train is $28 round trip.  I knew I wanted to wear comfortable and warm shoes in case I had to walk a little to catch a cab so I wore my Jessica Simpson suede boots (they are a weird color between brown, taupe and tan).  And the sweater and jeans are both Express.  And I forget where the necklace is from but I think The Limited or New York & Company.

P.S. - I hired someone to design my blog and she gave me a sneak peak today and I love it!!  Can't wait to share it!

Day 23 - Too cold to get out of bed!

It's even colder than yesterday and I'm hoping tomorrow warms up a bit since I have to travel to my office in the city to work.  So dreading that! I literally couldn't get myself out of bed this morning.  I am always at work by 8am and I found myself still in bed at 8:15 this morning.  So it's almost noon and I'm still home and might just stay put for the day.  I do have to go out though because tonight I am taking my clients at Merck out to dinner at the Huntley Tavern in Summit.  Love that restaurant! I cannot find my nice black dress pants for the life of me.  I've ripped apart my room and my closet and they are no where to be found!  I wore them on the 10th to a presentation where the heck are they?!?  So I had to dig out my old black pants that I haven't worn in years but I actually like the way they fit!  They are from Forever 21 and are super thin and are probably not the warmest pants to be wearing on a day like today but I didn't want to put together another outfit with different colored pants.  So here's my outfit! The top is from The Limited.  It's a light pink color with some metallic in it.  Again, I probably should be wearing a warmer top but this was what I picked out and this is what I'm wearing :)

Guest Blogger - Abby Rehm

Eric's 10 year old cousin has been avidly following my blog everyday and decided to create her own today using her American Girl doll.  The doll is supposed to be a mini me and her dog is supposed to be Niko!  I feel so honored to have such a loyal fan especially at such a young age!  Thank you Abby for your post :)  I'm loving Abby's poses too I might have to steal it for tomorrow's!

Today I am wearing a purple cowl neck sweater from American Girl. It is with the McKenna's school outfit collection. I also have on a pair of white pants, also from American Girl and part of the McKenna's warm up outfit. The tall boots are new this Christmas and from American Girl as well. This is my dog Pepper, he was feeling photogenic today and wanted to get in the picture :)

Day 22 - Brrr

It's days like these I wish I owned a pair of corduroy pants.  Do they even sell those anymore?  I wouldn't know since I haven't been shopping in about a month now!  I really wanted to get dressed nice today and put on a pair of heels but it's too cold out for that plus with the snow on the ground I'd probably slip and fall!  Today I am saying goodbye to a Manager I've been working with since I started with the company almost 8 years ago.  She is leaving us for another opportunity and it's going to be different without her around!  I will now be the employee on my team that has been with the company the longest.  Crazy!  Anyway, today I am wearing another striped metallic sweater from Express.  I wore this in black on Day 3.  And I am wearing jeans and tall suede boots.  I usually like to wear flats with my jeans but having my feet exposed was not a good idea for 20 degree weather.  I am dreading having to work in the city on Thursday and be walking around!  Stay warm!
