Day 23 - Too cold to get out of bed!

It's even colder than yesterday and I'm hoping tomorrow warms up a bit since I have to travel to my office in the city to work.  So dreading that! I literally couldn't get myself out of bed this morning.  I am always at work by 8am and I found myself still in bed at 8:15 this morning.  So it's almost noon and I'm still home and might just stay put for the day.  I do have to go out though because tonight I am taking my clients at Merck out to dinner at the Huntley Tavern in Summit.  Love that restaurant! I cannot find my nice black dress pants for the life of me.  I've ripped apart my room and my closet and they are no where to be found!  I wore them on the 10th to a presentation where the heck are they?!?  So I had to dig out my old black pants that I haven't worn in years but I actually like the way they fit!  They are from Forever 21 and are super thin and are probably not the warmest pants to be wearing on a day like today but I didn't want to put together another outfit with different colored pants.  So here's my outfit! The top is from The Limited.  It's a light pink color with some metallic in it.  Again, I probably should be wearing a warmer top but this was what I picked out and this is what I'm wearing :)

Guest Blogger - Abby Rehm

Eric's 10 year old cousin has been avidly following my blog everyday and decided to create her own today using her American Girl doll.  The doll is supposed to be a mini me and her dog is supposed to be Niko!  I feel so honored to have such a loyal fan especially at such a young age!  Thank you Abby for your post :)  I'm loving Abby's poses too I might have to steal it for tomorrow's!

Today I am wearing a purple cowl neck sweater from American Girl. It is with the McKenna's school outfit collection. I also have on a pair of white pants, also from American Girl and part of the McKenna's warm up outfit. The tall boots are new this Christmas and from American Girl as well. This is my dog Pepper, he was feeling photogenic today and wanted to get in the picture :)

Day 22 - Brrr

It's days like these I wish I owned a pair of corduroy pants.  Do they even sell those anymore?  I wouldn't know since I haven't been shopping in about a month now!  I really wanted to get dressed nice today and put on a pair of heels but it's too cold out for that plus with the snow on the ground I'd probably slip and fall!  Today I am saying goodbye to a Manager I've been working with since I started with the company almost 8 years ago.  She is leaving us for another opportunity and it's going to be different without her around!  I will now be the employee on my team that has been with the company the longest.  Crazy!  Anyway, today I am wearing another striped metallic sweater from Express.  I wore this in black on Day 3.  And I am wearing jeans and tall suede boots.  I usually like to wear flats with my jeans but having my feet exposed was not a good idea for 20 degree weather.  I am dreading having to work in the city on Thursday and be walking around!  Stay warm!

Day 21 - MLK Jr. Day

Happy Monday and a day off for me!  As you can tell by my outfit I haven't left the house today and am not planning to!  I haven't even brushed my hair today.  The only reason I got out of my pajamas is because I took Niko for a little walk so had to put on pants!  I am wearing Juicy Couture black velour pants and a Nike t-shirt I bought at T.J.Maxx sometime last year when I was planning to get back into working out.  That lasted a week!  I got a lot done around the house though and was nice to have an extra day to recuperate from my busy weekend!  I have a busy couple of days coming up though with a client dinner on Wednesday and am working in NYC on Thursday.  It's going to be so cold!!!

Day 20 - Hungover and a New Home

The first part of today I was terribly miserable!  I definitely drank way too much because I was sick all morning!   The girls asked me if I was going to blog about the getup I had on for the ride home from Hoboken and I said no way!  But I knew I had plans to go see one of my best friend’s new house later today so I had to recuperate quick and blog about that outfit!  I’m wearing a turtle neck sweater from Old Navy from last winter with a matching gray cami under it with jeans and gray flats.  I love this sweater and have it in off white too.  It’s so comfortable and nice and loose!  I had to take a picture of the coat I had on too because I got some compliments about it!  I got it last year at Loehmann’s.  It’s a “cape” style by Calvin Klein.  It’s not that warm because your arms aren’t totally covered but I like the style.  This photo isn’t that great it looks better in person!  Shout out to Lisa and Keith on their gorgeous new home!  I had to take a photo with her amazing chandelier in her dining room that I am obsessed with!  So proud of them lots of luck love you guys!!

Day 19 - Hoboken

I’m not one to go out anymore especially in Hoboken but I have a friend that lives there and wanted to have a girl’s night so 7 of us got together for a fun night out!  6 out of the 7 of us wore the same type of shirt I selected to wear.  The new sheer blouse.  I originally was going to wear it without anything under it (except a bra) but then Eric caught a glimpse of it while I was walking out of the house and made me go change!  It looked fine either way and I ended up being more comfortable with a cami under it so glad he made me dress like a “wife”!  I wore black jeans with it and black patent leather pumps from Aldo.  The jewelry I had on made the outfit though it was a matching chunky necklace and bracelet from The Limited.   We spent our night at Teak on the Hudson which is a classy bar/club.  I definitely had too much to drink though since I was so hungover today I could barely do anything!  I must say Kristen Becker is way more fun than Kristen Kelly was though :)

Day 18 - Dinner and a Movie

Day 18 and today was the first time I was itching to shop!  I think it was because I got an email with all these great sales at my favorite stores. I quickly deleted it but had to go into my trash folder just to see what I was missing.  I was good though!  I worked from home today so didn't actually get dressed until 4 o'clock today.  I am wearing a black turtle neck I'm not sure from where and my Express jeans in gray with flat tall black suede boots.  Eric and I went to see The Impossible which was pretty good.  It was about a family that survived the 2004 tsunami.  I can see why it was called The Impossible because for a family of 5 to survive a catastrophe like that was amazing!  Then we went to Muldoon's for dinner.  We love their prime rib!  Tomorrow I'm going to Hoboken for a ladies night so tune in for my first real "going out" outfit!
