Day 9 - WFH (Working from home)

I had the worst migraine in my life last night I couldn’t even move.  Our Wedding movie came in and the pain started while I was watching that and I tried to make dinner after that and couldn’t even.  I ended up falling asleep at 6:30 and woke up at 11p.m. and it was gone!  I woke up this morning feeling like it was coming back so I decided not to go to work today so I don’t even want to share with you what I have on lol.  During my 14 hours of sleep last night I ended up having a shopping dream!  I had a dream I went to the mall and ended up going nuts and buying so many things from so many different stores and I was really hoping to get away with not running into anyone I knew because I didn’t want to get called out for shopping when I vowed not to!  But lo and behold as I’m heading towards the exit with my 6 shopping bags I see my friend Lauren Palmisano and her sister.  I try and turn around and head for another door hoping she didn’t see me but she totally did and yelled my name and called me out!  I’m not sure what this dream means but I don’t like what I was trying to do because I was trying to cheat!  I have no plans on cheating but I do have some store credits and rewards that I feel like I should be able to redeem right?  Since I wouldn’t be using my money to pay for it?  What do you all think am I allowed to use my $30 Express Next Rewards or my store credits/gift cards at Victoria’s Secret and Macy’s?  I guess I could always use them to buy Eric something and that would be ok!  Tomorrow is my client meeting so will be wearing a brand new outfit from head to toe!

P.S. - I will be using the abbreviation WFH whenever I "work from home" so you know there really was no need for an outfit that day! 

Day 8 - Last minute scramble

I had this great outfit picked out last night to wear but decided to hold off on wearing it until Thursday because I have a presentation to go to at my clients.  So this morning I was scrambling for something to wear and came out with Jessica Simpson skinny jeans, a top from Express sometime last year and high boots.  I have two pairs of these same exact jeans because they totally stretch (and because the first pair I purchased before I lost weight).  I don’t know what it is with Jessica Simpson sizes but she really makes me feel good knowing the size 26 fits (and is a little big).  But I’ll just give it to the stretchiness of the material J  I like this top from Express because it’s very lose fitting.  The boots are from Aldo and I’ve had them for a few years now but don’t wear them too often so are still in decent shape!  I’ll try to come up with something better for tomorrow this one is a little boring! 

Day 7 - Leggings

Happy Monday!  I’m trying out a new location in my house to take my self-timed photos what do you think?  Lighting is still dark!  Today I’m breaking out one of many pairs/colors of leggings I own. I lived in these about a year and a half ago when I was 15 pounds heavier and 2 pants sizes larger.  I love leggings because you can wear a big top and hid whatever you have under it!  Now that I’m 15 pounds lighter I can wear more form fittings tops with them but today’s is an oldie from Charlotte Russe.  I can’t remember the last time I even shopped in that store so I’m not sure how old this sweater is!  The leggings I’m wearing are brown and from Arden B. And the shoes are flats by Enzo Angiolini from Lord & Taylor’s that I love!  I have them in black too although I haven’t located them yet this year.  The necklace I am wearing I found in my older sister’s room many years ago when she left for college and never gave it back.  Sorry Lauren but I love it and wear it all the time!!

Day 5 and 6 - Weekend Review

No exciting outfits for the weekend unfortunately so am not going to post photos.  I was debating blogging on the weekends or not and decided I'll do a review but only post photos if I go out and have something fun to show off.  I am still not going to repeat on the weekends but will need a blog break at some point!  Saturday I wore Express Jeans with a Gap waffle textured long sleeve top and my Cardy Uggs in cream with specks of gold in them.  I went to The International Trade Center in Budd Lake to make some returns at Old Navy, TJ Maxx and Michaels and resisted purchasing anything!  I was looking around and just kept thinking to myself that I didn't NEED anything and moved on!  I went out to dinner with some of my girlfriends and kept the same outfit on but changed my Uggs to flats to dress it up a little because I didn't want to waste a second outfit for 1 day!  Sunday I wore Express jeans again (different from Saturday though) and a cami with a zip-up (none Juicy Couture) and my black Baily Bling Uggs (my favorite!)  That's all for now looking forward to a full week of blogging and new outfits ahead :)

Day 4 - Juicy Couture Zip Up #1

It’s a gray day!  TGIF!  I hardly ever come to work on Friday’s but the fan on my laptop died so IBM is coming to repair it today so I had to come in.  Boo!  At least it’s casual in the office on Friday’s!  The title of today’s blog is Juicy Couture Hoodie #1 because I have a zillion of these and I figured a good way to count them is to blog about them! I became obsessed with Juicy Couture in college and even after so I’ve accumulated many of this TOO expensive zip ups.  I haven’t purchased a new one in many years now but I still love them!  Today I am head to toe in Gray (except my white cami).  The jeans again are from Express.  They are the Stella Extreme Stretch Jean Legging in Dark Gray.  I love them because they are a unique color!  I’ve paired them with Classic Cardi Uggs in Gray.  That’s probably another thing I should count are how many pairs of Uggs I own.  That will come with my shoe closet blog once I get it organized so stay tuned for that one!  Have a good weekend!!

Day 3 - Purple

Last night I asked Eric (my husband) to pick a color and he said purple.  Then he changed his mind and said teal to get it out of the way.  He hates me wearing teal and I have no idea why!  But when he said purple I instantly thought of my purple pants and that is how I started this outfit.  I am wearing all Express from this season. Although I still haven't quite figured out the correct lighting its hard to tell but my pants are purple and sweater metallic black. I love Express's pants/jeans that are labeled Extreme Stretch.  The ones I am wearing are called Stella Extreme Stretch Colored Jean Legging. I am only 5'3 so I have to get all my pants in the "Short" length so I don't need to alter them.  Express only makes some of their pants/jeans in Short and only certain colors.  And the stores do not carry many Short lengths so you have to order them online.  The majority of my pants are from Express, heck the majority of my wardrobe is from that store so you'll be seeing a lot of it!  And I probably have this sweater in at least 5 colors because I liked how it fit.  So you'll be seeing more of these too :)  The flats I am wearing I purchased at Loehmann's last season.  The brand is "Wanted" which I feel like I've seen in Joyce Leslie before lol.  But these are my go to black flats so you'll be seeing a lot of these this fall/winter until I can break out my sandals! And I am wearing my wedding gift from Eric for the first time!  It's my new monogram and I love it so had to share a photo!  

P.S. - welcome Niko my dog to my blog for the first time.  Every time I set up the timer on my camera I have to literally kick him out of the photo.  He's been watching me take pictures over and over the past couple mornings so he's looking at me like what the heck are you doing?  I'm sure he'll sneak into many more throughout this quest!

Day 2 - Back to work!

I’ve been off from work for quite a while with the holidays and my wedding so it was really hard to get up this morning and I’m sure many of you are feeling the same way!  What to wear on my first day back to work as a married woman?  I have been working for a company called Synovate for the past 7 ½ years and last year at this time we got bought by a company called Ipsos.  At Synovate the attire was very business casual.  In the winter I’d wear jeans and Uggs and in the summer it was capris and flip flops.  I was also working from home a few days a week since my commute to my office in Mahwah was so far so I’d be wearing my pajamas all day!  When we got acquired, Ipsos had an office in Parsippany that is 10 minutes from my home so I instantly requested an office move.  Little did I know this office was a dress pants type of office with very few wearing jeans (except on Fridays but I work at home on Fridays anyway).  So I was pretty bummed I couldn’t dress more comfortably but was also excited to shop for a new wardrobe!  I’ve been working at this office for a good part of 2012 and started off by only wearing dress pants but have been slowly wearing jeans on some days and no one says anything to me so I’m just going to keep doing it.  So some days I’ll be in outfits like today and others will be jeans (and Friday’s will be pajamas)!  Today I am wearing Christie Fit khaki pants from Victoria’s Secret with a white long sleeve ruched top from Forever 21.  Shoes are two-toned patent leather 4-inch heels from Aldo and I’m wearing a necklace from The Limited.
